Beach House

My clients had rented an old Miramar beach house near the old Miramar Hotel. They purchased the house and I referred them to a local architect and a new design was developed. It was a very challenging project because the home’s retaining wall also had to support the bluff and parking area above next to the train tracks. 24 new deep caissons were placed to support the new three story home. All the materials used in the construction were carefully sourced to provide maximum resistance to beach-salt corrosive elements. The structure was completed in 16 months from demo to occupancy.
